Known Behaviors
“Known Behaviors” marks the debut album from Colombian-American artist Falquez, blending rock, post-grunge, and power pop into a unique sonic journey. My role in this project was to record drums for seven of the tracks and contribute to the arrangement of the drum parts.
One of the standout tracks, “Kaleidoscope,” features my drumming and also has a music video where I appear alongside my son Jordy. It was a special moment to bring family into the creative process.
Throughout the album, I worked on creating drum patterns that complemented each song’s emotional and musical themes. Tracks like “Sometimes,” “The Platypus,” “Solemn Eyes,” “Kaleidoscope,” “Severed Sun,” “El sol brilla por las noches,” and “Yo miro hacia el cielo para respirar” all required unique approaches, and I enjoyed tailoring my playing to fit the overall vibe of the album.
“Known Behaviors” is a cohesive and compelling work, and I’m proud to have been part of it. I hope you enjoy the rhythmic journey as much as I did.
